Join Kinship Photography Collective for a multi-layered conversation with Donna Wesley Spencer as she shares work from Recover & Release, her new book from Daylight Books. Donna spent two years visiting wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centers to photograph and learn why so many wild animals need to be rescued. Her beautiful and tender photographs highlight what's possible when we take the time to approach vulnerable subjects with patience and care. The book holds fifty photographs of animals mid-recovery — owls, hawks, vultures, ducklings — alongside the humans who hold, feed, and care for them with the hope of releasing them back into the wild. Nothing here is rushed.
